Webster’s Dictionary defines intertwined as

  1. to twist (things) together
  2. to be or become very closely involved with each other

After you hear the words “You have cancer” the world can become a very lonely place. Then you tell a friend or loved one. Before long you aren’t alone. Family and friends step up with all sorts of support and encouragement. Like the squares on this quilt, all of our lives cross and intertwine with one another for support and to make us stronger.

This quilt is donated in loving memory of Judy Sanchez by David & Karen Humphrey of Sugar Land, TX, to the Mommas in Pajamas Relay For Life Team to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

“I never knew how closely our lives were intertwined until we battled your cancer. You shared you life, your experiences and your family with me. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for letting me be a part of your last days on earth. I miss you!”
